Design and Engineering At ECS

Our product solutions, from lightweight RF coaxial cable and proprietary multi-conductor cable designs to fully integrated Plug&Play avionics installation rack assemblies and kits, are designed for cost-efficiency, electrical and physical integrity, and ease-of-installation.
We design much of the product that we manufacture. Accordingly, we have developed robust process and production controls for the systematic and documented review, verification, and validation of design data and the resultant product output. As a result, our customers can be confident that every effort has been made to ensure that each design and end product is capable of meeting all specified requirements.
Intelligent Design:
Our design process is setup according to industry proven methods, and includes and considers the following steps.
Planning — Following a design policy that incorporates proven methods, new techniques, a structured engineering approach, and quality materials, our project planning strategies consider factors such as equipment capabilities, error proofing, life cycle, safety, reliability, maintainability, ergonomics, and risks to ensure that approved designs satisfy application and customer requirements. Our engineering design project teams are functionally structured to ensure that every action is completed by the appropriately experienced personnel.
Inputs — Inputs relating to functional, performance, and applicable regulatory and legal requirements are defined, documented, and reviewed for adequacy. Any incomplete, ambiguous, or conflicting requirements are resolved.
Outputs — Product specifications, documentation and personnel requirements, methodologies, purchase requirements, quality/testing/verification, and other outputs pertinent to the product are verified against the inputs and approved before release.
Validation — Validation is performed, prior to product delivery to the extent possible, to confirm that the product/design is capable of meeting its specified requirements. Validation results and subsequent follow-up actions are recorded and, where appropriate, a "Compliance Report" is produced to demonstrate that all acceptance criteria have been met.
